This complete barrel sauna package features a wooden water bucket, ladle, and sauna stones, as well as an integrated thermometer/hygrometer and internal seating benches, making it compatible with both electric and wood-fired heaters. Additionally, lighting is provided.

Assembly instructions are included and easily followed for a straightforward 4-person barrel sauna setup; no special tools or woodworking knowledge is needed. Our Sauna Design

The Scandinavian barrel sauna is held in place by sturdy stainless steel bands and minimal fasteners (see photos). This system allows the lumber staves to expand and contract to form a tight seal, and the unit sits on polymer support cradles that loft the sauna’s undercarriage off the ground (see photo). The Scandinavian barrel sauna design is noted for its efficiency, even distribution of heat, and visual appeal. In addition, the front sauna porch creates a visually appealing and helpful outside sitting area — a place to hold towels or drinks or to serve as a relaxing place to cool off between sauna rounds.

Materials

This 6 FT Classic Thermowood Barrel Sauna is constructed from robust Scandinavian thermowood, which undergoes heat-treating between 180 – 230° in specialized chamber kilns for up to 96 hours, with steam providing additional protection from splitting and damage. The thermowood process achieves enhanced dimensional stability, anti-microbial properties, and rot/fungi resistance, as well as improved insulation capabilities that are beneficial for sauna use.
